What’s with the vegetables?

I just noticed that Google were displaying a different logo yesterday, February 14. They do this to mark special occasions like The Feathers in December, Egg Time in spring, Green Day in March, We Rule The World Day in July and so on.

So what’s this one about? A tomato wrapped in some sort of stringy onion. Was it St. Vegetine’s day?

  1. Foo! That’s a cherry wearing stockings. It’s a SEXY day, you know.

  2. I saw that too. Why does it say Googe instead of Google?

  3. I’m guessing the L is the bit of vegetation sticking out the top of the tomato. I mean cherry.

If it is, it’s a very limp one. Not the kind you’d need on a sexy day.

They say a faint heart ne’er won a fair lady. Correct. No faint organ ever did.

  4. Last Thursday Polish google site (google.pl) has two doughnuts instead of double O letter. Yestarday we had a “FAT THURSDAY” which is probably similar to “Pancake Tuesday - Shrove Tuesday”

But in Poland Shrove Tuesday is almost the same as Hallowe’en in Ireland :)
