Making Movie Magic Suspended

My last two posts, Making Movie Magic #1 & 2, have been taken down temporarily. (They will be reposted when the time is right).

One of the three main actors in that movie, Tom Murphy, died the day before I wrote the first instalment. I didn’t know. Sorry, Tom. I really didn’t know.

He was one of the nicest, friendliest, down to earth guys on the set and a pleasure to watch act. The character and actor merged until you couldn’t see the joins.*

For those who haven’t viewed his best work, see Adam & Paul. Rent it if you must, buy it if you can - it is worth keeping.

  2. I am sorry to hear that Primal. I will also be looking forward to the remaining part of the story, when you feel it is appropriate. I also thought it was a great story. And it was well written and nice, in a tribute sort of way eventhough you didn’t know that he passed away. Maybe some sort of psychic connection on a sub-conscious level brought the memories out, to the conscious level. (Don’t laugh, I sorta believe that kind of paranormal connection and power is possible).

  7. Grannymar - It just seemed strange that I was writing the first part the day died and published it the following day not knowing. I had intended mentioning him but opted for Sean McGinley instead. Funny that.

    Gayé - You wouldn’t have freaked me out, but then I read Conorín’s comment. Weird.

    Mary - They are going back up now. Even folks like me, who don’t suffer from religion, need to show respect in some way. A minute’s silence in blogland is removing a post for a day or so.

    Rosie - Nope. Hadn’t a clue.

    Medbh - Coming from Gimmie, that was a great tribute.
